Transfer: Scottish club, Motherwell sign Nigerian winger

Motherwell Football Club in Scotland has added Nigerian winger Ibrahim Said to their squad ahead of the new season.

The 23-year-old joined from Danish team Viborg FF and signed a two-year contract with the option to stay for another year if the club chooses.

To complete the transfer, Motherwell paid Viborg FF a fee of €75,000. Ibrahim Said is a former Golden Eaglets player who represented Nigeria at youth level.

He spent five years with Viborg after making the move from Dabo Babes Academy, a football academy based in Kano, Nigeria, back in 2020.

Said is expected to begin pre-season training with his new teammates as they prepare for the upcoming football campaign.

It’s also worth noting that earlier this summer, Motherwell released another Nigerian player, Moses Ebiye, from the team.
