Popular Afrobeats singer, Stanley Omah Didia, who goes by the stage name Omah Lay, has voiced his thoughts on the trend of Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgeries.

In a recent post on his X account (formerly Twitter), the “Soso” hitmaker stated that he finds BBLs outdated and not appealing anymore.

Over the past few years, BBL procedures have gained more attention in Nigeria, especially among women seeking to enhance their body shape. However, the procedure carries many health risks.

Many celebrities in Nigeria — including actresses, music artists, reality TV stars, and models — have embraced the BBL trend. Some crossdressers have also joined in.

Despite its popularity, BBL surgeries have led to several complications, with some patients even losing their lives due to failed procedures.
