Nigerian music stars Shallipopi and Davido gave fans an unforgettable experience as they performed on the opening night of Afro Nation 2025.

Afro Nation is a popular three-day music festival that started in 2019. It was created to celebrate Africa’s rich music and cultural heritage.

This year’s event kicked off on Wednesday night in the beautiful city of Portimão, Portugal, with big names lighting up the stage.

Shallipopi caught everyone’s attention when he invited his siblings and other performers to join him on stage. He sang his hit track ‘Lahoo’, and the crowd went wild.

Davido followed with powerful performances of his fan-favorite songs including ‘If’, ‘Fall’, ‘Dami Duro’, and ‘Fia’. His presence and energy lit up the entire venue.

The excitement continues as Nigerian singer Tems is scheduled to perform on Thursday. Burna Boy, Kamo Mphela, Booba, and Dexta Daps will wrap up the festival on Friday with their performances.

On social media, the organizers praised both artists for their electrifying sets. They described Davido as their “headliner” who brought unmatched energy, and called Shallipopi’s performance “monumental” as he “scattered” the stage in Portimão.
