Chelsea’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, has said that he has known West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus since the player was at Ajax.

He made this comment when asked about Chelsea’s interest in signing Kudus this summer.

Reports say Chelsea is one of the Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, that want to sign Kudus.

Kudus might leave West Ham this summer, as transfer rumours continue to grow.

However, West Ham has reportedly rejected Chelsea’s first attempt to sign the Ghanaian star.

Kudus had joined West Ham from Ajax two years ago and has since impressed in the Premier League.

Speaking after Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Palmeiras in the Club World Cup final, Maresca said:
“He is a West Ham player, so I can’t say anything about it. The only thing I can say is I’ve known Kudus since his Ajax days.”
