Bashir El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, surprised many Nigerians when he publicly showed his love for Peter Obi on social media.
He used to criticize Obi a lot in the past. But on Wednesday, July 2, Bashir posted a photo showing Obi and his father at the Coalition meeting, which got a lot of people talking.
Someone who had been following Bashir’s posts online asked him if he had now changed his mind about Peter Obi and would no longer speak badly about him.
In response, Bashir said he now loves Peter Obi. He also used a popular Northern political slogan and replaced the name with Obi’s, saying, “Sai Peter Obi.”
Bashir explained that since other political influencers have been allowed to change their opinions, he also has the right to do the same. He made it clear that people can grow and change their political views over time.
