“it’s not like you will even see me in real life to say these things” Erica Nlewedim replies those blasting her for her tweet about Igbos

Reality TV star Erica Nlewedim has responded to online critics after a tweet she made about the Igbo community stirred reactions.

Erica, known for her time on Big Brother Naija, got backlash after she shared her personal experience about how Igbos treat fellow Igbos who can’t speak the language.

She explained that in her view, Igbos tend to be warm and welcoming to strangers. But when they meet someone who is Igbo and doesn’t speak the language, their attitude changes and they often become insulting.

In her tweet, she wrote, “In my own experience, Igbo people are welcoming when you say you’re from somewhere else. The minute you say you’re Igbo and can’t speak the language, the love they previously had for you changes to insults and I wonder why, ’cause I’m literally the same person! Learn love & unity!”

This statement quickly drew criticism from some social media users who felt she was attacking her own people. But Erica didn’t hold back. She responded by saying that people are just reacting because she hasn’t been active online.

She tweeted again, saying, “I think you guys just missed me ’cause I’ve been living my life away from social media! The goal is to make money and disappear. It’s not like you will even see me in real life to say these things! Enjoy!”

Despite the backlash, Erica stood by her words and seems unbothered by the drama. She made it clear that she’s more focused on her personal goals than social media fights.
