APC opens up on Kwankwaso’s reported move to join ruling party

There have been rumours that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the leader of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), might join the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is the ruling party in Nigeria.

Some believe Kwankwaso could be planning to move to APC now that Abdullahi Ganduje has stepped down as the party’s national chairman. Kwankwaso and Ganduje have been political rivals, especially in Kano State.

To address the rumours, the APC’s spokesperson, Felix Morka, spoke during an interview on Channels Television. He said the party has not had any discussion about Kwankwaso joining.

According to Morka, the APC has not made any decisions about welcoming Kwankwaso and isn’t in a position to do so yet. He made it clear that the idea is only speculation at this point.

Morka also dismissed claims that the APC is having internal problems. He said the party is working fine and just because people are saying different things doesn’t mean the party is facing issues.

He explained that everyone has the right to their opinion, but it doesn’t mean something is wrong with the party’s leadership or structure
