Many Nigerians are facing hard times due to the tough economic situation in the country. To respond to this, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has announced plans to lead a national prayer session.
The goal of this special prayer is to ask God for help in fixing Nigeria’s economy, which is affecting millions of people.
This prayer will take place in July 2025 during RCCG’s thanksgiving service, which will be held at their national headquarters in Oyingbo, Lagos. The event is themed “Divine Intervention.”
Pastor Adeboye, speaking through his assistant Pastor Dele Balogun, said that the problems facing Nigeria and many other nations can be solved. But this will only happen if people have faith and take positive actions.
He explained that even though the situation may look bad, it is not impossible to fix. As long as people don’t give in to fear and doubt, things can change for the better.
Pastor Adeboye also encouraged Nigerians to stop speaking negatively about their country. Instead, he asked everyone to start thinking and speaking with faith. He believes that with strong belief in God, Nigeria’s economy can be restored.
He hopes that this prayer session will spark major change in the nation and bring “divine opportunities” that will open doors for progress.
Pastor Olusegun Macaulay, who is the Assistant Pastor in Charge of RCCG Province 1, added that these divine opportunities come from God and are meant for those who remain spiritually connected.
He also said that a prayer team is already praying for Nigeria in the second half of the year. Their focus is on the economy, the environment, and keeping the country stable
