A man who took part in the robbery of Kim Kardashian in Paris back in 2016 has passed away just one month after he was found guilty.
Didier Dubreucq, aged 69, was one of the eight people recently convicted for their roles in the robbery that shocked the world. He had been seriously ill with lung cancer during the entire legal process.
Doctors discovered he had cancer while he was being held in jail before his trial. Throughout the court case, he continued to receive chemotherapy treatments.
On Thursday, June 26, someone close to the case confirmed that Dubreucq had died.
Dubreucq was part of a group that stole jewelry worth about $10 million from Kim Kardashian. One of the stolen items was a diamond ring that was said to belong to Kanye West, who was married to Kim at the time.
The robbery happened on the night of October 2nd to 3rd, 2016, while Kim was staying in a luxury hotel in Paris.
