Nigerian women cry out after alleged romance scam by American man known as J-Love

Several Nigerian women have spoken up about a painful experience with an American man known as J-Love. They claim he deceived them emotionally and financially after arriving in Nigeria.

One of the women shared her story in a viral video. She said she had paid for his ticket from the U.S. to Nigeria, introduced him to people close to her, and believed they were starting a life together. But things changed quickly after his arrival.

“There were a lot of red flags from the beginning, but again, he’s an American,” she said.

She said J-Love didn’t just pretend to be in love with her. He was also talking to several other women, making each one think they were in a serious relationship. While doing this, he was collecting money and private personal information from them.

“Even his flights from America to Nigeria, I was the one that paid. Plus or minus, of my own money alone, he was supposed to have at least $10,000.”

According to her, J-Love told her he wanted to move to Nigeria for good and live with her. She believed him because she knew someone who met their partner online and ended up happily married.

I felt, ah, that could happen to me too. He treated me like a queen. I used to tell people he worships me.”

However, after settling down in Nigeria, his behaviour changed. He reportedly started acting rudely, spoke to her harshly, and tried to control her emotionally.

“He started yelling, telling me I’m bothering him. One day, he told me I’m broke.”

Things got even worse when she found out he had stored private information like credit card numbers, signatures, and online account logins on his laptop.

“All my credit cards, front and back. He had my signature. He had my daddy’s signature. All the login details to my accounts.”

She said all her card details, her own and her father’s signatures, and login information to her accounts were on his device. This made her very worried.

Later, she also found emails on his computer that talked about issues like child support and other personal matters, suggesting he had a habit of using women to support his lifestyle.

“This guy was collecting loot and listing me as part of his things.”

She felt heartbroken and used. She said he was collecting money and even referring to her as if she was one of his belongings.

After her video came out, other women confirmed similar experiences with J-Love. They all said he had used charm and fake love to trick them, leaving them emotionally hurt and financially drained.

“He can sweet talk. I can’t blame any girl that fell for his trick.”
