U.S. military braces for Iran counterstrikes on ‘bases and facilities’ after Trump’s bombing on Iranian nuclear sites

American military leaders have cautioned their forces to prepare for potential retaliation following U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The attacks could lead to strikes against U.S. bases and installations in the Middle East, according to reports from Mail Online.

Officials predict that Iran, along with allied terrorist organizations, may activate cells worldwide, including in the U.S., to target American individuals and locations.

The United States collaborated with Israel to execute the attacks on Saturday, June 21. Using advanced B-2 “bunker bomber” aircraft, the military launched strikes on key Iranian nuclear sites.

Former President Donald Trump took to his platform, Truth Social, on Saturday night to announce the mission’s success. He confirmed strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. “A full payload of bombs was dropped on Fordow,” Trump stated, adding that all aircraft had safely left Iranian airspace.

A senior White House official disclosed that Trump informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the operation. The two leaders have reportedly spoken since the mission.
