Lionel Messi scored a stunning free-kick to help Inter Miami beat FC Porto 2-1 on Thursday at the 2025 Club World Cup.

In their first game, Inter Miami had played a goalless match against Al Ahly.

Things didn’t start well for them this time either, as FC Porto took an early lead through a penalty.

Samuel Aghehowa scored from the penalty spot in just the 8th minute, giving Porto the advantage.

Inter Miami responded after halftime. Just two minutes into the second half, Telasco Segovia scored a smooth goal after a great team move to make it 1-1.

Ten minutes later, Messi delivered a magical free-kick from just outside the box to give Inter Miami the lead.

That goal was Messi’s 50th for the club, marking another special moment in his legendary career.
