Al-Ahly’s star player Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’ Hassan has shared a bold message for Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Trezeguet said that his team is not worried about famous players like Messi. He’s confident that Al-Ahly can win, no matter who they play against.

The Egyptian side, Al-Ahly SC, is set to face Inter Miami in the first match of the tournament this Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.

Both teams are hoping to start the competition strong by winning the opening game.

Inter Miami has had a mixed season so far under their coach, Javier Mascherano, who is from Argentina.

Despite having stars like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, Inter Miami has not been very consistent.

When asked about facing Messi, Trezeguet told Soccer Laduma, “All of us are focused on this match. We know they have big names, but Al-Ahly doesn’t care about that. Our fans are always with us. We believe we can beat any team.”

He also said that every player in the team is treated like a veteran, including the new ones. This shows the strong team spirit in Al-Ahly.

Al-Ahly, who won the 2024–25 Egyptian Premier League, are in Group A along with Inter Miami, Porto, and Palmeiras.
