Former Real Madrid player David Beckham has congratulated Trent Alexander-Arnold after he was officially presented as a new Real Madrid player on Thursday.
Beckham, who once played for both Manchester United and Real Madrid, shared his happiness and told Alexander-Arnold that he has joined one of the world’s top clubs.
The message came after Alexander-Arnold posted a photo of himself wearing the famous white Real Madrid jersey at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Instagram.
Replying to that post, Beckham commented, “Congrats friend and welcome to a great club.”
Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior also commented on the post, simply writing, “Welcome.”
Alexander-Arnold joined the Spanish team as a free agent after his contract with Liverpool came to an end.
He is now expected to compete with Dani Carvajal for a starting position in Xabi Alonso’s squad.
The English right-back has also been included in Real Madrid’s squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
