Khaby Lame, a famous TikTok star, decided to leave the United States on his own after immigration officers from ICE held him.

An official from ICE told Mail Online that Khaby, who was born in Senegal but is now an Italian citizen, was taken by ICE on June 6 because of immigration problems. He had come into the US on April 30.

Khaby Lame, whose real name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was given permission to leave the country voluntarily, and he has already left.

ICE said, “We detained 25-year-old Seringe Khabane Lame, an Italian citizen, on June 6 at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas because he broke immigration rules. He entered the US on April 30 but stayed longer than his visa allowed. He was allowed to leave on June 6 and has left since then.”

Since President Donald Trump started his term in January, many people living in the US without legal papers have been deported.

ICE has been doing raids and arrests almost from the day Trump took office. Hundreds of thousands of people have been arrested and sent out of the country for living illegally in the US.

Khaby, who posts videos on TikTok under the name @khaby.lame, moved from Senegal to Chivasso, a town near Turin in Italy, when he was just one year old. He officially became an Italian citizen in 2022.

Today, Khaby Lame has 162.2 million followers on TikTok, making him one of the biggest stars on the platform.
