Nations League final: I played with injury – Ronaldo reacts as Portugal beat Spain

Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal’s football team, shared that he played the big Nations League final even though he was injured.

Ronaldo talked about this after Portugal won the final against Spain on Sunday.

The 40-year-old said he felt pain during the warm-up but still chose to play because the match was very important for his country.

He told reporters that he would have played even with a broken leg if needed, just to help Portugal in such a big game.

Ronaldo explained, “I felt the injury coming for some time, and I noticed it again while warming up.”

He added, “For my country, I would push myself no matter what. This title was important, so I gave my best and even scored a goal.”

Although he was hurt, Ronaldo said he pushed through the pain because playing for the national team means giving everything you have.

During the match in Munich, Ronaldo scored Portugal’s second goal in a 2-2 draw.

After 120 minutes, the game was decided by penalties, and Portugal won 5-3 at the Allianz Arena to become the Nations League champions.

Ronaldo’s commitment and goal were key in helping Portugal lift the trophy despite his injury.
