Nigerian singer Cynthia Morgan, also known as Madrina, has spoken out in response to recent comments made by Peter Okoye, one of the P-Square music duo.
Peter Okoye had taken to Instagram to accuse his twin brother Paul Okoye and their older brother Jude Okoye, who was once their manager, of betrayal and stealing from him. His post caused a lot of reactions online.
While expressing his anger, Peter brought up his past issues with other artists who worked with their label, including Cynthia Morgan and MayD. He seemed to distance himself from them, saying he was different.
In his words, Peter said their publicist tried to paint him as dishonest. He mentioned Cynthia Morgan’s name, saying he wasn’t like her or MayD. He called himself “Peter Okoye, the one and only ROCK/OKWUTE of the Okoyes,” and insisted that the truth would come out.
After seeing the post, Cynthia Morgan replied via her Instagram story. She said she felt strange about seeing her name mentioned. She made it clear that she’s not a weak person, but the Okoye family made her look that way, including Peter. She said Peter only realized the truth when they turned on him too.
Cynthia Morgan had a well-known fallout with the Northside Entertainment label, which was owned by Peter, Paul, and Jude Okoye. The split had caused public drama, and now it’s being brought up again during Peter’s current family issues.
