Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has shared his thoughts on who he believes is the best football manager in the world right now. In a recent chat, Gerrard praised Manchester City’s head coach Pep Guardiola, calling him the top manager globally.

Gerrard also advised other Premier League teams to be cautious of Guardiola and his team. Even though Manchester City didn’t win the league title last season, he believes they are still a big threat.

Last season, Manchester City ended up third in the Premier League standings, falling behind Arsenal, who came second, and Liverpool, who were crowned champions.

Talking to TNT Sports, Gerrard said, “People should still be careful with Manchester City and Guardiola, who is clearly the best manager in the world. They’ve shown their strength by winning the league four times in a row before. Missing Rodri last season really affected their performance.”

He went on to say that if City stays injury-free and brings in new players, they’ll be a strong contender again. According to Gerrard, the only way to win the Premier League is by finishing above Manchester City, and he hopes Liverpool can manage to do that next season.

Pep Guardiola became Manchester City’s manager in 2016 after leaving Bayern Munich in Germany. Since then, he has led the team to many trophies, including Premier League titles and a Champions League win.
