A Nigerian man has gone viral after sharing his anger on social media. He was among many drivers left stranded in heavy traffic for over an hour. The cause? A major road was blocked so that a very important person (VIP) could move without interruption.
The incident happened on the road leading to the airport. According to the man, the traffic jam started when security officers closed off the road. This was done to allow a VIP who had just arrived in the state to be picked up smoothly from the airport.
In the video, the frustrated man explained that he and other drivers were forced to wait for about 90 minutes. The road closure created a serious delay, leaving many commuters stuck with no way forward. People missed appointments and became increasingly upset as the wait continued.
The video quickly spread online, with many Nigerians reacting to the situation. Some shared similar experiences, while others called for better traffic management and fair treatment for all road users—whether VIP or not.
‘’Because of one person, one person that has probably destroyed this country, they blocked the road leading to the airport for more than one hour thirty minutes. Everybody turned off their car engine because of one person. Do you know how many people will miss their flights because of one useless person” he said
