Abia APC chairman lying against Otti to mislead Tinubu – Otti’s Aide

Governor Alex Otti’s media aide has accused the Abia State APC Chairman, Kingsley Ononogbu, of lying about the governor in an effort to mislead President Bola Tinubu.

Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, who is the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Otti, said Ononogbu’s recent comments were not true and were meant to make the president see Governor Otti in a bad light.

The APC Chairman, Kingsley Ononogbu, had earlier said that Governor Otti was running the state all by himself without involving others in leadership decisions.

Ononogbu made this statement during the launch of the “Renewed Hope Partners” program in Bende. The event was led by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu. He criticized Otti for staying in his private home instead of the government lodge in Umuahia and also accused him of using social media to show off his projects.

Responding to these remarks, Ukoha said the APC Chairman was trying to make the APC look stronger in Abia than it actually is and was doing this to impress President Tinubu.

He advised Ononogbu to concentrate on helping his party win more support and votes, instead of always attacking Governor Otti. Ukoha reminded him that during the 2023 election, the APC only managed to give Tinubu 4% of the votes in Abia.

Ukoha also mentioned that the issue of where the governor lives has already been explained by the government and should not be used again as a tool for political attack.

He further warned Ononogbu to stop spreading lies and focus on helping President Tinubu in the 2027 elections. According to Ukoha, many people in Abia are very happy with Governor Otti’s leadership and the good work he is doing across the state.

Finally, he said that the APC Chairman’s actions are making the APC look bad in Abia.
