Sallah: FG declares June 6 and 9 public holidays

The Nigerian government has announced Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays. These dates will be observed nationwide to celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha festival.

In a statement issued on Monday, June 2, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government. He extended warm greetings to all Muslim faithful in Nigeria and abroad during this special celebration.

The Minister urged Muslims to embrace the values of sacrifice and unwavering faith, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him). He also encouraged everyone to use the holiday period to pray for a peaceful and prosperous future for Nigeria.
