Miley Cyrus recently shared a difficult moment in her life when she almost gave up on music after a painful health scare.
The American pop star said she suffered a ruptured ovarian cyst while performing during the New Year’s Eve 2023 show.
During a heartfelt interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Miley, 32, explained that the incident made her consider quitting her music career.
She said Canadian film producer Lorne Michaels gave her strong support during that time. He told her that she had six months to feel down, but after that, it was time to start rebuilding.
Miley said Lorne also reminded her that many artists have gone through similar struggles. He told her that a lot of musicians have sat with him and said they were done with music, but later found strength to continue.
