At the ongoing APC National Summit in Abuja, governors from the Progressive Governors’ Forum have promised to help President Bola Tinubu win a second term in the 2027 elections.

The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, made this declaration while addressing fellow governors at the event. He encouraged all APC governors to take full control of political activities in their states and ensure the party’s victory in every election.

Uzodimma explained that by winning elections across the states, it would become easier for President Tinubu to secure another term in office. He emphasized the need for APC governors to fully support the president’s second-term bid.

He also appreciated the Northern APC governors for publicly backing Tinubu’s re-election. Uzodimma said their support is a strong sign of unity within the party.

He went on to say that all APC governors should help spread the federal government’s policies and keep political control within their states. According to him, this strategy will help guarantee success in the 2027 elections.

Finally, Uzodimma officially asked the gathering to agree with the position of the Progressive Governors’ Forum that President Tinubu should be the APC’s presidential candidate again in 2027. He urged governors to work together and take full responsibility to ensure this goal is achieved.
