A man in Lagos has been praised for his bravery after he was seen holding a baby while hanging from a balcony during a fire.

In a video that appeared online, many people were seen standing on the street and inside a nearby compound, looking up at the man. He was holding on tightly to a second-floor balcony with one hand and holding the baby with the other.

The fire had spread through the building, and the man was clearly trying to escape with the child. He stayed calm and continued to hold the baby safely while waiting for help.

After some time, someone brought a ladder and placed it against the wall. This allowed the man to carefully climb down to safety with the baby still in his arms.

Not long after, a fire truck arrived at the scene, and firefighters were able to put out the flames.

This brave act touched many people online, with viewers calling the man a hero for risking his life to save the child.
