People in a village called Tashar Kaɗanya, located in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State, are living in fear after bandits asked them to pay ₦60 million. The criminals warned that if the money isn’t paid, they will attack the village.
A security expert who shares updates on X (formerly Twitter), known as @DanKatsina50, revealed this information on Monday.
He said the bandits gave the village a deadline to pay the money. Because of this threat, many people in the village are now leaving their homes to stay safe.
So far, the police or other security agencies have not made any public statements about this incident.
This situation has once again made people worried about the rising number of bandit attacks in Katsina State. Despite efforts from the government, these violent attacks have continued.
Kankara Local Government Area has often been affected by bandits. In the past, many people have been kidnapped for ransom in the area.
Now, with this new demand for money, the fear and hardship in the community may become even worse.
