President Bola Tinubu has told Governor Chukwuma Soludo that he wants a piece of land in Anambra State to build his retirement home.
During a one-day visit to Anambra, President Tinubu met with the people in a town hall meeting. He came to the state to officially launch some of the projects that Governor Soludo’s government had completed.
While speaking at the meeting, Governor Soludo said his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), had chosen to support any government in power at the federal level. He also said that his support for the Tinubu-led government would continue until 2031, when the administration ends.
President Tinubu told the people that he now sees himself as a true son of Anambra. He said, “I am now your son. A son of the soil. One of your own.”
He then made a light-hearted request to Governor Soludo, asking for land to build a retirement home in Anambra. Tinubu said he doesn’t want to be moved out of the Villa for just one week but wants a permanent place to stay in the state.
President Tinubu also said good things about Anambra, saying the state is rising. He prayed for Nigeria’s progress and victory for the country’s soldiers, promising to defeat terrorism and make the country better.
