Barcelona’s manager, Hansi Flick, has spoken highly of young winger Lamine Yamal, giving him special recognition before a big Champions League match.
Speaking about the Spanish forward, Flick said that Yamal is a genius. This comment came ahead of Barcelona’s second-leg semi-final clash with Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
Flick made these remarks during his press conference on Monday. The game is set to take place at San Siro, the home stadium of Inter Milan.
“We have many great players, and Lamine Yamal is a genius,” Flick told the media. “But the team is what matters most. We need everyone to play their best,” he added.
In the first leg, Yamal impressed fans and coaches by scoring a goal. The 17-year-old showed his talent during the exciting 3-3 draw against Inter Milan at Camp Nou last week.
Barcelona go into the second leg with confidence after beating Real Valladolid 2-1 in their recent LaLiga match.
Inter Milan are also coming in strong after their narrow 1-0 win over Verona in Serie A.
