Former Arsenal player William Gallas has shared his frustration with how Arsenal played this season. Gallas, who once played as a defender for the Gunners, said he is not happy with the team’s performance in the Premier League.
Speaking to Prime Casino, Gallas said Arsenal are his biggest flop of the season. He compared their current form to the last two seasons and believes the team has not improved. In fact, he feels they have performed worse.
Even though Arsenal are likely to finish second in the league, behind Liverpool who recently beat Tottenham 5-1, Gallas is not impressed. He expected more from the team, especially after their great performances in the Champions League against Real Madrid.
“I’m disappointed with Arsenal,” Gallas said. “They played really well in the Champions League, but I wanted to see the same level of play in the Premier League. I can’t accept this drop in performance. It makes me angry.”
Arsenal, led by Mikel Arteta, are currently in second place ahead of top teams like Manchester City, Chelsea, and Aston Villa. But for Gallas, the league performance just hasn’t been good enough.
