Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has claimed that well-known journalist Dele Momodu will stop supporting Atiku Abubakar if the money stops coming in.

Wike made this statement through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, on Wednesday.

He criticized Momodu for saying on national TV that Atiku had plans to give the 2023 presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Southeast. Wike found it strange that a journalist would say such a thing, calling it a lie.

Wike’s aide also questioned why Atiku picked up the Expression of Interest form to run for president even though the party’s zoning committee had not yet made a decision on which region should get the ticket.
