On Wednesday, a Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire at an industrial site in Murom, a city located around 300 kilometers east of Moscow, Russia. The target of the strike was a factory that manufactures ignition devices, according to local residents and reports from a Russian Telegram news channel called Astra.
The Governor of the Vladimir region, Aleksandr Avdeyev, shared on Telegram that the fire was confined to a warehouse. The blaze was caused by the falling drones, and it has now been extinguished with no significant damage reported beyond the warehouse.
Russia’s Defence Ministry stated that Ukrainian forces launched 34 drones overnight, with three of them being shot down over the Vladimir region.
For over three years, Ukraine has been defending itself from Russia’s large-scale invasion, receiving support from Western nations. In response, Ukraine has frequently targeted military sites within Russia, and while these strikes have caused some damage and casualties, they are minor compared to the destruction and human suffering caused by Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
