UCL: He makes stupid fouls – Seedorf calls out one Arsenal player after PSG defeat

AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf has criticized Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber for making “stupid fouls” during their 1-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg.

The match took place at Emirates Stadium, where Ousmane Dembele scored the only goal in the first half to give PSG the win. Timber had a tough time defending against PSG’s tricky winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who kept getting past him easily. Despite making several poor tackles, Timber managed to avoid a yellow card in the first half.

Seedorf, working as a pundit for Amazon Prime, was not happy with Timber’s performance. After watching replays of Timber’s fouls, Seedorf said players need to know when to press high and when to fall back—especially against skilled players like those at PSG.

He said Timber was making silly mistakes while pressing, which gave PSG breathing room instead of keeping them under pressure. According to Seedorf, these unnecessary fouls allowed PSG to reset and wasted Arsenal’s good defensive moments.

Seedorf’s comments have sparked debate about Timber’s decision-making and discipline in high-pressure games.
