UCL: Why Arsenal lost 1-0 to PSG – Arteta

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has shared his thoughts on why his team lost 1-0 to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday night.

PSG’s Ousmane Dembele scored the only goal of the match, giving the French team a small lead before the second leg.

After the game, Arteta told Amazon Prime that he was not happy with the result. He said his players struggled to get into the game in the first 10 to 15 minutes. During that time, PSG looked stronger and took control.

“We’re disappointed with the result,” Arteta said. “We gave a lot in the game. But we couldn’t control the early minutes, and that made a difference. We should have at least gotten a draw.”

Talking about Dembele’s goal, Arteta admitted it was a moment of brilliance. He said Arsenal had seven players behind the ball, but Dembele still found a way to score.

“That’s the danger,” he added. “Sometimes, you have to give credit to great individual talent.”

Arsenal will now look to bounce back in the second leg of the semi-final.
