Festus Keyamo, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, has urged all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. He said it’s more important than their personal political goals.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Keyamo explained that Tinubu needs another four years to complete the reforms he started in the country. He warned that if another government takes over in 2027, these reforms might stop, which has happened in the past.
Keyamo also talked about the recent defection of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to the APC. Even though it meant giving up party leadership in Delta, Keyamo said it was worth it to strengthen the APC and improve Tinubu’s chances in the next election.
He stated that he doesn’t mind sacrificing his political position if it helps Tinubu win a second term. Keyamo added that Delta was a strong supporter of the PDP in the past, so gaining its governor is a big win for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
