Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas, the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, took part in his first National Economic Council (NEC) meeting today, April 24, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting was led by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Also at the meeting was the recently-defected Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori. Other state governors present included Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak of Kwara, Monday Okpebholo of Edo, and Bassey Otu of Cross River. Several deputy governors were also seen at the gathering.

The NEC meeting is a platform where the Vice President and other top government officials discuss key national issues, especially those affecting the economy and politics of Nigeria.
