Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the former vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has said that President Bola Tinubu might not run for a second term in 2027 if he’s truly a smart politician.

Speaking on Arise Television’s political show, Prime Time, Datti said Tinubu’s time in power is almost over. According to him, it’s clear that both Tinubu and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), are likely to lose in the next election.

“If Tinubu is really smart, he’ll step aside and not run again,” Datti said.

He also claimed that Tinubu has been involved in picking presidential candidates since 2007. Datti alleged that Tinubu helped push different candidates over the years, including Atiku, Ribadu, and Buhari. He believes that the 2023 election was unfairly won and refers to it as an “electoral heist.”

Datti concluded that the political signs are clear and that if Tinubu sees them, he will realize he won’t win in 2027.
