NNPP ‘dead,’ Kwankwaso will return to APC soon – Ganduje

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has said that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is no longer important in Nigerian politics. He also believes that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who ran for president under the NNPP in 2023, will soon return to the APC.

Ganduje made this statement during a visit by the Tinubu Support Group to the APC headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday. He said the APC is ready to welcome back old members, including popular politicians and lawmakers from across the country.

Talking about the NNPP, Ganduje said the party is already “dead” and will soon be completely gone. He used strong words, saying, “The NNPP is dead. The coffin is ready, and the grave is already being dug.”

He also said that Kwankwaso is thinking about returning to the APC, especially after losing support from many people. “He wants to come back, and we will welcome him. He is coming back home,” Ganduje added.

Ganduje also dismissed the efforts of opposition parties trying to unite ahead of the 2027 elections. He believes those alliances won’t last and that many of their leaders will eventually return to the APC.
