Enyimba striker, Ifeanyi Ihemekwele, has called on his teammates to give their best as they prepare to face Abakaliki FC in the Round of 16 of the President Federation Cup. The important match will take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
Ihemekwele admitted that the season has been tough for Enyimba, especially with the long travels. However, he remains confident in the team’s ability to succeed.
“It’s not been an easy season, but I believe in my teammates,” he said. “We can bring back the glory, starting with a win over Abakaliki FC.”
He explained that winning the Federation Cup is the only way the team can play in continental competitions next season. For him, this makes the tournament very important.
“We need to return to the continental stage and stay in the spotlight. I trust my teammates — we are winning, and the trophy is coming home,” he added.
