Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to Vice-President Kashim Shettima and his family following the death of Shettima’s mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar Albishir.
Reports indicate that Albishir, the mother of Nana Shettima, passed away on Sunday evening in Kano at the age of 69 after a long illness.
The news of Albishir’s death was confirmed on Monday through a statement by the Vice-President’s spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha.
In a separate statement released by Garba Shehu, Buhari’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, the former president extended his heartfelt sympathies to Shettima, encouraging him to remain strong during this difficult time.
