I saved money but I did not save up to N500k deposit they asked for – Nigerian man who was criticized by Reuben Abati for not having money to deposit at hospital where he rushed his pregnant wife to, speaks

A Nigerian man named Mr. Folajimi has responded to media personality Reuben Abati, who criticized him for not having N500,000 to deposit at the hospital when he rushed his pregnant wife there.

Folajimi’s wife sadly died after a hospital allegedly refused to treat her because he couldn’t make the deposit.

Reuben Abati, while speaking on TV, said the man had nine months to save money and should have been better prepared financially. He called it irresponsible to show up at the hospital without enough money.

In his response, Folajimi shared a video on April 10, saying he had saved about N100,000 but didn’t have the full N500,000 when the emergency happened.

He said if the hospital had given him some time, he could have raised the money. After his wife passed away, he and others were able to gather the N500,000, which was then used for the mortuary and other expenses.
