Veteran Nigerian musician, Eedris Abdulkareem, has urged Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to speak to his father about the suffering of Nigerians.
Abdulkareem made this call through a new song titled “Tell Your Papa.” The song appears to be a response to Seyi Tinubu’s claim that his father is the greatest president in Nigeria’s history.
Seyi Tinubu made headlines last month when he called his father the greatest president while speaking to a group of youths in Adamawa State, sparking controversy.
In his song, Eedris Abdulkareem criticized Seyi Tinubu, accusing him of being out of touch with the struggles of ordinary Nigerians who are facing serious economic difficulties and insecurity. He urged Seyi to tell his father about the hardships the people are facing.
Abdulkareem sang, “Seyi, tell your papa country hard. Tell your papa people dey die.” He added that Seyi should travel on the roads without his security to truly understand the challenges Nigerians face daily. Abdulkareem pointed out that while Seyi flies in private jets, he doesn’t experience the same insecurity as the average citizen.
The veteran musician’s message is clear: he wants the son of the president to communicate the real pain and struggles of Nigerians to his father.
