Trinidad-born rapper Nicki Minaj has been honored as the greatest female rapper of all time by Billboard. The music publication released its list of the “Best Female Rappers of All Time,” and Nicki Minaj took the number one spot.
Other legendary female rappers followed close behind. Missy Elliott was ranked second, Lauryn Hill came in third, Lil’ Kim was fourth, and Queen Latifah took fifth place. The rest of the top ten included MC Lyte, Salt-N-Pepa, Roxanne Shanté, Eve, and Foxy Brown.
Surprisingly, Nicki Minaj’s longtime rivals, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, were not in the top ten. Cardi B was placed at number 11, and Megan Thee Stallion was ranked 15th.
Even though many fans believe Nicki Minaj is the best female rapper ever, she still hasn’t won a Grammy. On the other hand, both Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have received Grammy awards in rap categories.
