Veteran Nollywood actors Segun Arinze and Emeka Ike have finally ended their long-time disagreement.
Their feud started in 2009 because of a fight over who should lead the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). In 2010, Emeka Ike took the matter to court after losing the AGN presidential election to Segun Arinze. He wanted the court to cancel the election results.
However, in a recent interview with QED.ng, Segun Arinze said that they have now settled the matter. According to him, there is no more bad blood between them.
He said, “Emeka Ike is a great actor. We still talk and laugh about the past. The fight ended naturally. It wasn’t really a personal quarrel. It was just about the AGN position. That’s even why I stepped down from the role.”
He also added, “Why should we have enemies? Life is too short to carry grudges. We are getting older. Emeka is my friend now. I even invited him to lunch or dinner whenever he’s around.”
It’s good to see these two Nollywood legends move on and focus on friendship.
