Delta police arrest father, second wife over death of three sisters

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a man and his second wife following the tragic death of his three daughters in Oruhworun, Udu Local Government Area.

Reports say the sisters, who lived apart from their father, visited his home at Delta Steel Company (DSC) Township. Sadly, they were found dead the next morning with foam in their mouths.

Sources revealed that their mother had died less than a year ago, and their father remarried soon after. Shockingly, his new wife was reportedly a close friend of the late mother. The girls had returned from a birthday party the night before their tragic passing.

Delta State Police spokesperson, Edafe Bright, confirmed the incident, stating that the police are treating the case as suspicious and investigating all possibilities. He assured the public that updates would be provided as the investigation progresses.

In another disturbing incident, two young men from Benue State have been arrested for allegedly killing an engineer in Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North Local Government Area. The crime reportedly happened in December 2024, but details emerged recently after the suspects were caught.

According to sources, the suspects buried the engineer’s body in a shallow grave on a farm. The police have since exhumed the body and are working to track down other suspects involved in the crime.

Edafe Bright confirmed the arrest, assuring the public that efforts are ongoing to bring all culprits to justice.
