Popular Nigerian DJ, Florence Otedola, also known as DJ Cuppy, believes that Nigeria could one day have a female President.

She shared her thoughts after Namibia made history by becoming the first African country to have both a female President and a female Vice President.

Taking to her social media platform X, DJ Cuppy wrote, “Namibia just made history. Africa’s FIRST country with BOTH a female President AND female Vice President. Maybe there’s hope for Nigeria one day after all…”

Namibia’s new President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, was recently sworn in after winning last year’s election. Her Vice President, Lucia Witbooi, also made history alongside her, making Namibia the first African country to have women in both top positions.

DJ Cuppy’s statement has sparked discussions about the possibility of Nigeria following the same path in the future. Many Nigerians hope to see more women in leadership roles, breaking barriers in politics.
