Bode George, a senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has accused Abdul-Azeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, of being a liar. He said Jandor deceived the party before leaving for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking on Nigerian Info FM with Jimi Disu, George explained that Jandor had initially agreed to choose Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as his running mate for the 2023 Lagos governorship election but later changed his mind.
Jandor, who joined PDP from APC before the elections, returned to APC just days after meeting President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
George said PDP leaders had trusted Jandor because he was introduced by a respected elder. He also mentioned that at the time of the selection, Gbadebo was a strong contender for the governorship ticket. However, due to respect for the elder who introduced Jandor, the party considered him instead.
“I asked Gbadebo his age, and he said 39. Jandor said he was 45. I thought we could work something out,” George said.
However, things did not go as planned, and Jandor eventually left the party, teaching PDP a tough lesson.
