Nigerian and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has been named the highest-rated player in the Italian Serie A this season. He has outshined some of the league’s biggest stars with his outstanding performances.
With 29 matches played so far, Lookman tops the WhoScored player ratings with an impressive score of 7.37. He ranks higher than Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martínez, along with top players from Juventus, AC Milan, and AS Roma.
Despite playing only 23 games this season, Lookman has scored 13 goals and provided five assists. He also averages 2.1 key passes per game, more than any other player in the league.
Following closely behind him is Inter Milan’s Thuram, who has the same number of goals and four assists, earning a 7.29 rating. Lautaro Martínez and Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui, the league’s top scorer with 22 goals, share third place with a rating of 7.22.
The top five is completed by Inter Milan’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu (7.19), while Como’s Nico Paz (7.18), Lazio’s Mattia Zaccagni (7.17), AS Roma’s Alexis Saelemaekers (7.11), AC Milan’s Rafael Leão (7.11), and Fiorentina’s Moise Kean (7.09) round out the top ten.
