Nigerian football stars Victor Osimhen and Bruno Onyemaechi were the first players to arrive at the Super Eagles camp in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The two players landed in Kigali on Sunday night and were welcomed by head coach Eric Chelle and other team staff at the airport.

Osimhen, who plays for Turkish club Galatasaray, was in top form on Friday, scoring a hat-trick in their 4-0 win over Atalyanpor. Onyemaechi also played last Thursday in Olympiacos’ Europa League match against Norwegian club Bodo & Glimt.

More Super Eagles players are expected to join the team at the Radisson Blu Hotel camp today (Monday). Nigeria will face Rwanda’s Amavubi team in an important World Cup qualifier at Amahoro Stadium on Friday.
