Kanye West, the famous rapper known for his bold opinions, recently shared that he doesn’t enjoy Kendrick Lamar’s music. While he acknowledges Lamar is an incredible rapper, Kanye made it clear that his music doesn’t appeal to him.
On his social media, West wrote, “I don’t like Kendrick Lamar’s music. He raps very good but I didn’t need to hear him on Carti’s album.” The rapper was referring to Lamar’s feature on Playboi Carti’s album, I Am Music, which Kanye did not approve of.
In a similar incident last year, Kanye criticized J.Cole for apologizing to Kendrick Lamar. During the 2024 Dreamville Festival, J.Cole expressed regret for dissing Kendrick Lamar in the past. He called it the “lamest thing” he’d ever done. However, Kanye disagreed with J.Cole’s apology, claiming it was a mistake.
Despite the controversies, Kanye continues to express his views, showing that even fellow artists may not always see eye to eye.
