Singer Cassie fires back at Diddy’s claim that CNN assault video was edited

Cassie’s legal team has responded to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ claim that the hotel surveillance video showing him attacking her was altered.

Her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, stated that the video is real and will likely be used as evidence in Diddy’s trial. He dismissed Diddy’s argument, calling it an attempt to avoid accountability.

“I believe the video accurately shows what happened and will be accepted as evidence,” Wigdor told Mail Online. “Diddy will be held responsible for his actions.”

Diddy’s legal team argues that CNN edited and destroyed the original video. They want the footage removed from the trial. However, Cassie’s side expects the court to reject this request.

CNN has also denied Diddy’s claims. The network stated that they never altered the video and still have the original copy from their source.

Although Diddy is not facing direct charges for the attack in the video, prosecutors plan to use it as evidence of his history of violence.

Currently, the 54-year-old rapper is in jail, facing serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

Cassie played a key role in Diddy’s downfall after she filed a $30 million lawsuit, accusing him of years of abuse. They were in an on-and-off relationship for 11 years before finally breaking up in 2018.

In her lawsuit, Cassie claimed that Diddy assaulted her many times over the years. She also accused him of forcing her into disturbing situations, including being drugged and abused.

Diddy quickly settled the lawsuit just one day after it was filed.
