Soldiers of Operation Fansan Yanma have stopped a deadly bandit attack on Mada town in Tsafe Local Government Area, Zamfara State.

According to security expert Zagazola Makama, Nigerian Army troops and the Askarawa militia fought back fiercely, using superior weapons to overpower the attackers.

The bandits, who arrived in large numbers, suffered heavy losses. Many were killed immediately, while others ran into the forest with injuries.

A security source confirmed that several bandits were killed and that no soldiers were harmed. The troops chased the fleeing attackers and eliminated more of them as they tried to regroup. They also seized weapons and motorcycles from the scene.
